Certification

The LIFEFORCE First Aid Team now includes 10 highly qualified personnel trained and certified.

Our diverse training far exceeds the basic First Aid requirement for service. For example, all attendents are Occupational First Aid Level 3 Unrestricted. In addition to the basic requirements, we train and equip for:

• Management of: suspected head & spinal injuries, respiratory emergencies, allergic reactions, hypoperfusion (shock), environmental sickness or injury.
• Medical Emergencies; Childbirth, Chest pain/Heart Attack, TIA/Stroke, Diabetec Shock, Convulsion/Seizure, Unknown Collapse.
• CPR, Choking, early access AED (infant, child, adult)
• Critical InterventionsTraining to include Pulse oximetry, Blood-Glucose Monitoring, Patient Assessment
• light rescue skills:
  • vehicle extrication
  • fire suppression
  • over-bank maneuvers
  • specialized immobilization equipment
• transfer of care and liason to medical personnel..
• disaster and triage management
